Our DPW crews are continuing leaf collection and are working from the north end of the Village toward the south. Due to the cold temperatures and recent snow, we are using different equipment and a modified process. As a result, collection may not meet our usual standards and will take more time to complete, but we remain committed to doing this work to the best of our abilities.
In most residential areas, crews are using a front-end loader to scrape along the curb line and push as many leaves as possible. Along our main roads—where we typically use a leaf vacuum—we are continuing to do so. To prevent lawn damage, leaves, pumpkins, and other yard waste placed on the grass will not be collected at this time.
We continue to monitor the weather forecast and will share updates as they become available. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this unusual fall season with late leaf drop and an early winter snowstorm.
