Drugs/Alcohol Suspicions with Children

If you have suspicious about your child using drugs/alcohol you should first talk to your child about your concerns. If the behavior continues you may want to:
  • Seek outside resources to assist you with the issue.
  • Search your child’s room or locations where they may store illegal items.
  • Closely monitor internet activity and postings on their social networking sites (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, etc...).
  • Closely monitor text messages and calls placed/received and pictures/videos stored in their phone.
If you feel you need further assistance, the police department is willing to work with you outside the traditional law enforcement role. Just because you contact the Whitefish Bay Police Department it does not necessarily mean your child will be arrested/cited.
