If the water has receded:
- Contact your homeowners or renters insurance agent
- Complete the MMSD “Water in My Basement” form: https://www.mmsd.com/about-us/contact-us/reporting-wet-basement. This helps the Village track the impact in Whitefish Bay and will guide future stormwater management efforts. You do not need to call Village Hall—this online form provides all of the necessary information.
- Special Collection: The Village is picking up flood-related items such as rolled up carpet, furniture, and bagged items. You do not need to call Village Hall to schedule special pickup, our trucks are driving the entire Village. Please no electronics, hazardous waste, or any other items excluded from our traditional special collection program. Items should be placed between the sidewalk and curb. Do not place items in the alley. This service will continue through Friday, possibly longer, as we assess the impact within the community.
- Tree Branches
- Hanging branches or limbs in the road: Call Village Hall at 414-962-6690 to report.
- All other branches: Place at the curb in accordance with our regular chipping requirements (max 5’ x 7’ x 20’ piles). DPW crews are working through the community with the chipper.
