As a result of a federal court decision, please note the following updates for the April 7, 2020 Spring Election and Presidential Preference Primary:
Absentee Ballot Requests: The deadline to request a mailed absentee ballot has been extended to Friday, April 3, 2020 at 5:00 pm. Request a ballot in the following ways:
Copy of photo ID is required if not previously submitted.
Absentee Ballot Return Deadline: The deadline for completed ballots to be received by the Village has been extended to 4 p.m. on April 13, 2020.
Witness Affirmation Requirement: The absentee ballot witness affirmation has been lifted if an absentee voter can a written affirmation or other statement that they were unable to safely obtain a witness certification despite reasonable efforts to do so, provided that the ballots are otherwise valid.
Election Day: In-person voting on April 7, 2020 WAS NOT DELAYED. Polling places will be open from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm on Election Day. Please use the Ward Map (PDF) link to see where your polling place is.
